Jane has been involved in competitive sports since a very young age and began practicing Iyengar yoga in the mid-90s as a means to treat chronic knee problems. Jane soon found that the mind–body connection of yoga far outweighed the physical benefits, and became conscious of how yoga complements athletics, as well as enhances the functional movement of every day life. She wanted to share her knowledge of yoga with others and is now registered with the Yoga Alliance at the experienced 500-hour level. Jane has continued her study of yoga with JJ Gormley, Sage Rountree, Doug Keller, Sadie Nardini, David Keil and many others. Jane is also trained to instruct aerial yoga, bodyART, TRX, rowing, SilverSneakers and is a certified personal trainer with the American Council on Exercise. Jane is eager to assist everyone in obtaining the physical and mental benefits of living healthy.

Cara was first introduced to yoga through her dance studio when she was about 13 years old.  She danced with Ruth Mitchell Dance Theater for 13 years, and during that time dabbled in Yoga and Pilates.  After she ended her dance training, she missed the physicality and movement of dance and eventually found Launch Awareness Fitness Studio through friends.  After her first Aerial Yoga class she was hooked! She began to take all of the classes that Launch Awareness offered and fell in love with yoga and the studio.   Yoga serves to remind her of her roots in Ballet, but it also provides the mental, physical, and spiritual connection that only yoga can provide.  Cara is TRX certified, certified in CPR and First Aid, and is a graduate of Launch Awareness’s 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training.  Currently, she teaches TRX, Pilates, yoga and aerial yoga.  She feels so blessed to be a part of the Launch Awareness Family and she hopes that she will help you find peace and renewal at the studio.  She feels that body awareness and body appreciation are very important, and she hopes to help people find strength, appreciation, and love through her classes.

Neila began her yoga practice in the late 90’s after her daughter was born, but had gotten away from it.  She was excited when she heard Launch Awareness opened. Neila was about to turn 50.  She was losing her flexibility and was twenty pounds overweight. Neila did not want to be fat and 50, so she attended morning aerial yoga class and tried several different yoga classes that Launch Awareness offered. Neila’s new career is a blessing. With the encouragement from Jane, Kelli and her family, she enrolled in yoga teacher training and received her RYT-200 certification through LAYC. She is registered with Yoga Alliance. Neila received her 500-hour Yoga Alliance certification with Sadie Nardini. She utilizes Sadie’s Core Strength Vinyasa style in her classes. Neila is also a certified Rewind Yoga instructor. Rewind Yoga is designed for students 65 and over. She is also a SilverSneakers instructor. Neila loves teaching and watching her students get stronger just as she has. A lifelong dancer and distance runner, Crystal found yoga after a back injury after the 2016 Chicago Marathon.  Frustrated with the sudden inability to run, a friend brought her to Launch for her first yoga class and she was instantly hooked.  Realizing that yoga made her comfortable with being still and reflecting internally she decided to pursue her 200 hour certification to be able to help others find the relief, comfort and inner peace she has experienced in her own journey.  Crystal specializes in teaching yogis with sports injuries or physical limitations.

It was in Mexico City that I experienced my first yoga class. Since then I fell in love with the beautiful practice, and the way it made me feel.  I found myself through yoga!  In 2014 I decided to study, and trained at Core Bodyworks to deepen my practice, learn and acquire my RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance.  It became not only a part of my life, but the primary focus.  I am lucky to get to do what I love, and share this beautiful practice with the world.  I am also a certified Aerial Yoga Instructor, Pilates Instructor, a Health Coach and a Reiki Master.  My belief is that everyone can benefit from a daily yoga practice; incorporating; body awareness, balance, strength and flexibility, pranayama, and meditation, all of which are incorporated in my classes.

Samantha grew up taking (baton) twirling and dance classes. She was introduced to yoga in college, but remained more interested in dance. She continued dance classes until she became pregnant. Once she became a stay at home mom, Samantha learned how important it is to take some time to spend on yourself. In 2017, she surprised her husband with a date night doing something they had never heard of – aerial yoga. Samantha fell in love! She found Launch and started taking all the aerial classes she could. Samantha’s “me time” quickly expanded to include water rowing, too.

Being certified in aerial yoga and water rowing, she now enjoys teaching as well as continuing her own practice. Outside the studio, Samantha lives a zero waste friendly lifestyle. She enjoys photography, traveling, reading, and is a background actor.
